Hey everyone! Long time no see! I just finished my 18 months at sea with Princess Cruises as a singer. Wow! What an amazing adventure. I’ll probably write a reflective post on that at some point, but as for right now, I’m here to talk about what I’m sure many of you are catching on to as you read my blog – 3D art! For the past year, I have been fascinated with learning how to create art in 3D. I’m Entrapped in the processes and techniques to create these things in the computer and then make them come to life.
Now it’s my turn. I want to start building up a portfolio and honing my skills. The observation part is over, now for the doing. To that end, I have created a new Instagram account where I will post all of my progress. There will be works in progress, daily renders, and other posts showcasing my progress. I can’t wait to look back at this feed and see how far I’ve come. I’ve already learned so much with just the first two posts I’ve created in the past two weeks.
I don’t have a set posting schedule because as of right now, it’s mainly an account used for me to share what I’ve learned and show people my progress. However! I am using it as a device to motivate me to get things done and communicate with the wonderful world of 3D artists.
I still plant to be updating this blog with long form written content. One of my top goals when choosing to spend over a year at sea was to learn more about myself. By removing myself from everything that was familiar “location-wise” and starting fresh, I felt like I could discover more about what stayed with me and what I could improve on. During that time, I found that I wasn’t creating much content. I think I posted about 2 or 3 Instagram pictures in all of the four months I was on my last ship. I had my reasons, and they were mainly focused on the (at the time) here and now.
There’s many an exciting announcement ahead – so stay tuned for more and enjoy the new account.
